Lightly padded is what most people actually want — enough to smooth, not enough to feel like you're wearing a second layer. Heavy padding adds visible shape, useful under very thin or clingy fabric but warmer to wear through a full day. Full coverage padded combines the smoothing with a wider cup for anyone who finds regular padded styles cut in at the sides. If you're not sure which, lightly padded is the safer everyday default — you can always go heavier for a specific outfit.
